Beacons Festival: Day 2

This is my view right now.

We’re just back from having a full English at my brother-in-laws cafe in Foulridge, Potter and Hill, and a shower at my sisters. Yesterday was wet, but that didn’t dampen our festival spirits. We threw on our poundland ponchos, stuck some sparkles and stars on our faces and headed to the Loud and Quiet stage for three incredible sets.

Stealing Sheep were phenomenal, their energy on stage was electric and their performance was up there with Lykke Li. Gold Panda had the tent jumping like crazy and Local Natives were out of this world – totally amazing! Hearing ‘You & I’ live was an amazing experience.

Food wise – it was all about the pulled pork Burrito last night, washed down with gin we snuggled into the main arena (shhhh – don’t tell anyone) and some churros with chocolate dip. Bitches may be trippin’ over these burritos, but they’re not a patch on Street Food Chef in Sheffield, if I’m honest.

This afternoon we’re going to chill out. Maybe take in a film in the ‘In to the Woods’ tent, before Sbtrkt and Django Django tonight! I cannot wait!

Until tomorrow

Hayley Jayne xx
