I wasn’t going to blog today, but I’ve blogged everyday since the New Year and I’m not giving up on my New Years resolution that easily. So, here’s a blog post about why I wasn’t going to blog.
Today, I feel a bit off. I don’t feel ‘off’ in an ill way. Maybe blue Monday has arrived early for me? Who knows.
It’s my first full week back at work and I’m shattered. I’m feeling so downbeat, I can’t even be bothered with food. Tonight I would have eaten pretty much anything that was put infront of me + my mini bag of malteasers, which went some way to cheering me up.
Usually the thought of food is enough to raise my spirits, however our cupboards were bare when we got home, Dan ‘forgot’ to nip to the markets at lunch time to pick up essential ingredients and I couldn’t be bothered cooking. It was toss up between a garlic and chicken frozen pizza, or homemade fishcakes and pasta – we went for the latter, it went wrong. It made me feel worse.
Ah – we all have our ‘off’ days from time to time. It’s nothing a good night’s sleep and some trashy TV can’t fix.
On the upside, I’m throwing an oriental themed dinner party on Friday for our neighbours. Any recipe ideas?
